Papua hikers find 'WWII airman'

BBC News - Sep 03 5:57 PM - Australian hikers have found the suspected remains of a World War II airman hanging from a tree in dense forest in Papua New Guinea.

The moss-covered body appeared to be wearing a harness and goggles.

The discovery was made along the Kokoda Trail, in the east of the country, which was an important battleground during the war.

The Australian Defence Force is preparing to send officials to the scene for further investigations.

A force spokeswoman said it was too early to confirm the nationality of the pilot.

There are goggles and it appears to be caught up in cables, so presumably it is an airman. But he is likely to have come from Australia, Japan or the United States, as all three operated aircraft in the area during the war.

Papua 'remains' are not WWII body

BBC News - Sep 04 9:25 PM - The suspected remains of a WWII airman discovered in a jungle region of Papua New Guinea have turned out to be the moss-covered branches of a tree.

Hikers on the country's Kokoda Trail found what appeared to be the remains of a parachutist tangled in wires and dangling in a tree two weeks ago.

Australian and Japanese forces fought several battles in the area in 1942-3.

The Australian military sent a team to investigate the "body" only to discover it was a branch tangled in vines.

aku hari ni berbuka dalam kereta masa kat serangoon road traffic light. minum air juice calamansi (apa kejadahnyer calamansi ni pon aku tak tau, tu jer juice yg ada masa aku beli kat office cafeteria so main sambar jek).

kalau mak aku tau ni mesti dia menangis. terpaksa pulak aku nanti jawab telefon depan maybank kat london, explain, 'bisi rimau nyaga aku ba ditu' hehehe.. tak abis2...

pc aku kat rumah pakai windows vista. kan vista kat desktop kita boleh letak macam2 gadgets, macam waktu sembahyang ke (yg aku letak bila bapak aku datang melawat tahun baru cina lepas, siap ada azan dari mekah okee.. sekali tu aku tgh tido tiba2 bunyi azan kuat ngkau! siap aku takut okee.. hahaha.. ), news feed.. and currency exchange.

so pagi semalam aku bukak pc terpandang.. apakah..

waaa.. mewah laa aku raya nih tukar duit... happy okee.. ok ok kesian gak laa kan orang kat malaysia tapi still.. tak laa aku bergolok bergadai bagi duit raya tahun nie.

aku google2 gak yahoo finance nak check trend kan.. buat research. saja jek perasan berangan jadi financial expert laa nih... so ni dia sgd vs rm trend for past 1 year..




now di tahap maksima okee. waaahh...

but no reason to panic. aku rasa dengan budget 2009 badawi tuh i'm quite optimistic it will go up to 2.5 sooner or later. so kita standby dulu lah yea kat tepi money changer dengan our money briefcase..

kalau 2.5 exchange rate kan, macam USD vs RM sebelum financial crisis dulu jek.. hmmm..
